The manufacturers don’t lie when they say the Mcleods are a wide fit. Even with fairly wide feet, we found the laces had plenty more room to give, so they should be comfortable, no matter how far your tootsies fan out. Although not particularly soft on the inside, they’re still comfy thanks to the extra padding around the ankle and tongue, while the deep lugs on the outsole mean they have enough grip to keep you stable on tougher terrain. They’re extremely light, in part due to having no waterproof membrane, which makes them a joy to wear on a dry day.
