Onward and upward!

-

A few years ago on holiday in Devon I suggested we walk from our campsite to Greenways (Agatha Christie’s house). It involved a large hill – okay for me as I’m active in my work, but as we got to top my wife Chloe was struggling to the extent she said she couldn’t go on anymore. It wasn’t great, but after a lot of talking she made it to the house but she was embarrassed about her fitness.

Since that moment she set about changing her diet and going for a walk in her lunch break, and this year we booked a holiday to the Lake District.

There we said we wanted to do the Old Man of Coniston, but via the Dow Crag route, making it a bigger challenge. Chloe was so determined she bought walking poles and a new rucksack and she not only did it, she topped it off a few days later with a 26-mile walk for the charity Alzheimer’s Society!

We couldn’t be any prouder of her for what she has managed to achieve in small space of time – 10 stone loss, and lots more walking for us as a family.
