Columbia’s Omni-Freeze technology has been around a while; it takes your own moisture (erm, sweat) and converts it into a cooling agent. Now there’s an enhanced version called Zero Ice, designed for the very warmest conditions. I’ve been wearing this throughout the summer and it does indeed keep me noticeably cooler and drier than most synthetic tees. But also, it’s not so flimsy that it can’t keep hold of heat when I actually want it to. Expensive – but it works, and it feels lovely, too.
