A new dawn

‘I’ve climbed it with my mum, dad, partner and several groups of children and staff. But this photo was taken on my most memorable walk – on my own, with my camera and breakfast, for the sunrise. I’d been suffering with anxiety and depression after my losing my dad. I resigned from my teaching post to work out what I really wanted to do with my life. And while watching the sun’s rays come through the clouds I felt truly alive for the first time in a long while. I knew that in time, I’d be okay again.
