‘Only a blip’

‘Only a blip, compared to most, but part of my life for as long as I can remember. From many lovely walks along the Itchen and up over St Catherine’s with my dad and childhood dog, Bob; to playing there with schoolfriends, walking round and round the cutout maze on top; to taking my children up there, watching them roll back down again over and over; watching sunrise up there, using it for ascent and descent training for the Inca trail hike in 2016 – and it contributes to my 1000 miles every year, as I drag different family members and friends up and over MY hill.’ Karen Hayes FIND IT IN OS MAPS: SU 484 277
