Seven Sisters can wait

‘On a trip to Sussex I wanted to walk the Seven Sisters cliffs and Beachy Head. Instead, I spent the day in Eastbourne hospital with a lovely 93-year-old gentleman called Tom, who’d had a nasty fall and was also holidaying alone. I heard the most wonderful romantic story of how he met his late wife, and tales from his time in the army. The moral of the story is, the Seven Sisters can wait; today I was exactly where I was meant to be.’ Hannah Martin
