Do more on your miles & win treasure!
Spice up your miles by having a go at one of our quests this month, post the result in the Facebook group and our favourite 20 #minichallenge completers will win a Golden Badge! You have until 9 December to get to grips with this crop of challenges.
56 BADGER PILGRIMAGE
The badger has been our mascot since we first sold #walk1000miles badges. Celebrate this fact by walking somewhere with badger in the name or connected in some way. Photo evidence please!
57 ID A MUSHROOM
Find one and don’t eat it, but ID it confidently through your research – or at least not leaving mush-room for error. There are 15,000 types in the UK. Help: wildfooduk.com/mushroom-guide
58 CLIMB A ‘TUMP’
A tump is a hill standing 30m clear of its surroundings. There’s one near you! Find one: hill-bagging.co.uk/CountyTumps.php Click your county then check the ‘Full screen map’ box.
59 DO US A VIDEO
Answering these questions: 1) What made you want to do #walk 1000miles? 2) What difference has it made? 3) What three words sum it up for you? Tag #minichallenge59 AND #whatitmeanstome
60 GIVE A COMPLIMENT
Walking fills us with warm thoughts and a kind word sincerely meant can light up someone’s life. So don’t just think something nice this month – say it. Tell us how it went, and how it made you feel.
