All the gear
I find the cost of Country Walking extraordinarily high. No, not the subscription price, but the tempting nature of your Gear Buying Guides. As soon as I see your Tester’s Choice I have to have the item. I now have enough rucksacks to hold the contents of my house. As soon as I see a soft shell more waterproof than mine, I feel compelled to make a purchase. All I have now to leave my children is an array of jackets, trousers, walking socks, boots and poles. But in all seriousness, as I am retired with dogs, I walk at least 10 miles a day whatever the weather, so good gear is essential. Roger Wood, by email
