Incy wincy spider...

-

This tiny little arachnid doesn’t just climb up the water spout, it can travel 100 miles on threads of silk. Money spider is a general name for the Linyphiidae family, 250 species of which are found in Britain, most of them under 3mm in size. If one lands on you it’s come to weave you new clothes which means financial good fortune, and they’re also known as sheet weavers – on autumn mornings their dew-laden webs carpet fields with sparkling gossamer. To move long distances they climb up and release threads of web which the wind picks up to carry them away, ballooning or kiting through the sky to pastures new.
