White to Dark Way

Created to celebrate this magazine’s 25th birthday back in 2012, the White to Dark Way showcases the very best of the Peak District. A roundabout trail from Bakewell to Hope, it strings together attractive villages, cafés and pubs as it progresses northwards from the White Peak into the Dark. Wooded limestone dales give way to stark moorlands edged with millstone grit. Calling in at Monsal Dale and Eyam, Stanage Edge and Ladybower, there’s not much else we could have crammed into this three-day odyssey.
