Allermuir Hill offers a great vantage point across Edinburgh from the Pentland Hills Range. It’s a walk I’ve done countless times. It’s such a perfect escape from the busy city life below, even if you only have an hour or two to spare. It was my perfect go-to hike for some headspace when restrictions meant we couldn’t travel far from home. This route can be enjoyed as a standalone hill or linked in a series of summits, making it an enjoyable adventure no matter what level of challenge you’re after.
