A PLAN B THAT WAS WORTHY OF PLAN A
Marie Cheng on Ben Ledi
Ben Ledi is among the highest mountains in the Trossachs but it was actually by chance that I ‘stumbled’ on this route. We had been en route to another Munro when a road closure had us reassessing our walk options to avoid long traffic queues! We spotted Ben Ledi on the komoot map and decided to give it a go. The circuit is easily accessible, with a car park at the start and a fairly well-marked route sticking to well-maintained paths on the ascent (useful as the dog was with us); slightly boggier on the descent. However, we had in-andout cloud inversions all day and enjoyed lovely views over Loch Lubnaig and the surrounding hills.
