A CELEBRATION FOR ‘FREEDOM DAY’

Sian Lewis on the South West Coast Path

One of my favourite walks from this year was a magical 10-mile hike along the South West Coast Path from Tintagel to Boscastle, north Cornwall. If you like myths and legends, it doesn’t get better than this: set off from Tintagel, alleged birthplace of King Arthur, and follow the coast path to Boscastle, once a haven for local witches and now home to the Boscastle Museum of Witchcraft. My friend and I walked this route on a balmy summer’s day to celebrate the ending of the last lockdown. It’s a wonderful reminder of how gorgeous and storied Britain’s coastline can be.
