Miles walked this month: 67

I always wonder if my dog can tell the time. Working from home it’s hard to end my day but CocoPops (sorry) knows to the minute the exact time we need to walk, and he doesn’t want to miss it. Suddenly tapping my leg and giving me the eyes, my dog is telling me it’s HIS TIME. I know it’s MY TIME too. And sometimes I do need a push. This time of year, wet and a bit gloomy, left to myself I’d often be close to changing my mind. But out we go, and suddenly calm floods back into my day. Some days I’m not even sure where we’ve walked or what we have seen – I’ve been deep in thought. Other days it’s an adventure where I let him lead the way. Either way, back home we both feel relaxed and content.

Note to self: Whether it’s a sense of motivation or dog-reminded duty, keep walking – you never regret it.
