AKU Rock DFS GTX
Look closely at this shoe and you’ll see it has two sets of laces. The black is your standard lace-up; the orange is a drawcord which tightens the shoe around your forefoot – a feature much prized by fans of scrambling as it gives extra support and grip on rock. A little faffy for everyday walks, but that extra adaptability for boulder-hopping comes in very handy if that’s your thing. Comes in shoe (£165) or boot version (£200). We’ll include it in our 2022 shoe test, but you can find a review by our sister magazine
