Archive agony

I’m in agony and it’s all the fault of CW. Although I have extensive bookshelves they’re close to being full so, with a heavy heart, I can no longer keep my huge collection of CWs. This afternoon I started to go through my 2010 issues with every intention of scrapping them all but I started looking through them just in case there were a few pages that I really should keep – and that was my big mistake. After an hour I have managed to consign just three issues to the recycling and even that is only after tearing out several pages because I cannot bear the thought of losing them. I’ve re-read many of the articles and enjoyed them all. In fact, discarding old copies calls for a degree of heroism that I find I really do not have.

I’m old enough to acknowledge that there is not a solution to every problem so I shall continue to enjoy the writings of Jenny, Nick and all the others together with Tom’s photos, while trying to work out how to house the ever-increasing collection. Ian Brown, Melbourne
