To roam or not to roam

- Audrie Smith,

I live near the Scottish/ English border and find the different walking rules perplexing! In Scotland there is a right to roam, do no damage, upset no farm life and everyone is happy, In England, stray off set paths or out of national parks at your peril! The land has been here for millennia, and the current owners are purely the current custodians; why aren’t we campaigning for free access for all? Do no damage, leave no trace, the land belongs to all of us, not just those lucky enough to inherit it, or rich enough to buy it.
