A bit about BASE LAYERS

-

‘Base layers’ is the cringeworthy outdoorsy term for shirts. The message here is: avoid cotton. Cotton shirts are rubbish at managing heat and moisture next to your skin, becoming a sweaty mess when you’re active, whether it’s really hot or really cold out. Look for polyester blends, or naturally wicking fibres like merino or bamboo. A half-zip or quarter zip is great for venting heat when you need to.

Look out for the latest base layers in our Summer Gear Guide, on sale 31st March.
