Lunchtime libations

-

My new office locale looks a bit unpromising – a mix of industrial units, ’90s housing estates, and tired shop fronts. But at lunchtimes I can pop over a gate and disappear into St Anne’s Woods, a little patch of earthy delight. Hidden inside, a few hundred metres from the road, is a mysterious old well with ribbons dangling overhead from oak branches – pilgrim offerings maybe?
