Sleep better – or don’t
MILE 1: Research published in the Sleep Journal found that a walk of as little as 20 minutes (about a mile) is positively correlated with deeper, more restful sleep.
MILE 1000: You sleep like a baby. But even if you didn’t – good news. While poor sleep can lead to heart problems, stroke, cancer and a heightened chance of early death, a study of nearly 400,000 people by University College London and the University of Sydney found the equivalent of 150 minutes brisk walking each week (which doing #walk1000miles easily surpasses) eliminates nearly all the links between poor sleep and harm to your health.
