‘I was mostly housebound for years’

‘I’ve been mostly housebound with ME for nine years now. My lifeline to the outside world has been my electric scooter, which has made it possible for me to get my kids to school, pop to the shops, etc. But last year, with everyone forcibly home, it gave me the opportunity to gradually increase my walking and with the 1000 mile challenge to spur me on I’ve managed to HUGELY increase my fitness, the number of miles I can cover and my recovery time. When I signed up, I thought I would be struggling to get the miles in, so completing the challenge in September was a massive surprise. I surpassed even my wildest dreams with this challenge.
