This month’s minichallenges
Spice up your miles with one of our quests this month, post the result in the Facebook group and our favourite 20 #minichallenge completers will win a Golden Badge! You have until 3 March for this crop.
6 MAKE A BADGER PILGRIMAGE – TAKE 2!
Lisa Vanner brought another place of badger pilgrimage to our attention following #minichallenge2 – the cupand-ring-marked Badger Stone on Ilkely Moor (put SE11074605 into OS Maps). Four pilgrims will win!
7 GO ON OUR SCAVENGER HUNT
Collect as many as you can and present them in one photo: • An old piece of litter • A nearly perfect skimming stone • A pinecone • Something that might be a fossil or a flint tool • A piece of quartz • A shell.
8 WEAR SHORTS IN THE COLD
Because gosh-darn it what’s more British than being chilly and not complaining, owing to the simply huge amounts of moral fibre that go to make you up? Get those pins out and glowing pink people!
9 CAPTURE AN INTERESTING PHOTO OF A SHEEP
Sheep are bland beasts. Can you take a photo of one that makes us think ‘That’s an interesting photo of a sheep’? Because that’s what the challenge is: to take an interesting photo of a sheep.
10 HAVE AN URBAN EXPLORE
Plan a walk around or across a town especially if that’s not your normal walking environment. Tell us how it felt to explore the human landscape for a change, and of something interesting you saw.
