Remember when glamping was just a slightly posher version of camping? It used to mean little more than a pre-erected tent, or maybe a solar-powered lamp… such luxury! These days it can mean anything from a designer cabin with underfloor heating to a bath beneath the stars and champagne breakfast; a glorified hobbit hole, a converted double decker bus or a snazzy treehouse. Due to Britain’s insatiable desire for the quirky and the luxurious-butwith-a-campfire, there are great glamping options all over the country, including the places where we like to go for a walk.
