What’s in a backsystem?
Your rucksack’s backsystem is one of its most important features – but how do you choose what’s right for you? deuter explains.
THE WAY YOUR rucksack attaches to your body is called its backsystem. It should provide comfort, stability, and ventilation – and there are lots of variables to take into account when choosing a pack and the system that’s right for you.
Different challenges and activities have different requirements, which is why deuter has six different systems – each tailored to the activity it is designed for. It’s worth trying a few packs with different backsystems, there may be a few good options, but your favourite could come down to personal preference.
