DIDYOU KNOW?
There is more than one peak
called Tryfan. The coxcomb-crest just over 3000 feet high in the Ogwen Valley is one of the most famous sights in Snowdonia but three other tops sport the same name: Tryfan (1952ft) on the cliffs above the Pass of Llanberis; Moel Tryfan (pictured here, 1407ft) just west of the national park boundary in the shadow of Mynydd Mawr; and Mynydd Tryfan
(1319ft) in the little-trodden contours between Snowdonia and the Clwydian Hills – perfect, if you want to climb a Tryfan without any crowds this summer.
