Perambulations of a mayor

This is Ynys Enlli (Bardsey Island) appearing out of the mist on the last leg of our Wales Coast Path walk. We’ve completed it in sections from Chester to Chepstow over the last six years since we retired from teaching. We couldn’t have completed the last sections on the Llyn Peninsula without the help of the Fflecsi bus and their friendly drivers.

It became important to finish the walk before I was invested as Mayor of Narberth in Pembrokeshire in May – 37 years since I was Mayor of Prestatyn on the North Wales coast. I can now say that I have walked from one Mayorship to another!
