ON THE MAP

It seems the map isn’t always right, as anyone trying to go for a walk at Argleton discovered. The town appeared on Google Maps, just west of Town Green station in Lancashire, but there is nothing there except fields. Some thought it might be a trap town, a fake place added to a map to catch anyone copying it, noting its name is an anagram of ‘Not real G’ (for

Google). It was most likely a simple mistake, and was soon removed, but a pub nearby made the most of it, adding Argleton

Pie (with no ingredients) to its menu.
