Kinder wonderful

I was so inspired by Guy Procter’s article “Journey to the centre of the universe” that I just had to walk Kinder, in spite of the heatwave. With a 6am start from Edale, the light was fantastic and the views amazing. The eastern and northern edges were new to me and I only met a handful of people.

The western and southern edges were much busier and more familiar.

The circumnavigation of the Kinder plateau was a wonderful 18 miles that I would recommend to anybody who fancies a challenge!
