Padded with foam on the inside, this folding sit mat is as simple as they come. It offers good insulation against cold ground, but not as much comfort as the Sea to Summit Air Seat (see below). With its four fold-out panels (bound together by a webbing strap when packed away), it’s quite bulky too, but it does at least involve minimum faff – just unfold it and plonk yourself down.
