Found on Foot

Some years ago, making a documentary about Lancashire’s coal miners, some ex-miners took me to see The Dream, a surreal but beautiful elongated sculptural head commissioned on the site of the former Clock Face Colliery south of St Helens. A strangely contemplative place, looking forward rather than back, it’s worth a visit.
