World Conker Championships

14 October

-

Beneath the horse chestnut’s hard, prickly casing resides the object of a beloved schoolyard game, the conker. In autumn, thousands of competitors descend upon the World Conker Championships in Southwick, Northamptonshire. The rules are simple: in turn, each competitor takes three strikes at the opponent’s conker. If neither conker is smashed, judges decide the winner. Find out more at world conkerchampionships.com
