Meet the author

Before becoming a journalist and writer, Neil Oliver trained at the University of Glasgow and worked as an archaeologist. He’s now one of television’s best-loved historians and a regular face on TV, where he’s presented Two Men in a Trench, A History of Scotland, Vikings and Coast. When not travelling, he lives in Sterling with his wife, three children and an Irish wolfhound.
