Presenter Margherita Taylor (below) lends a hand at her local city farm in London’s Kentish Town – with no visitors allowed in lockdown the farm is struggling to make ends meet. Margherita also delves into the archives to revisit some of Countryfile’s community and winter heroes, from farmers working in all conditions to wildlife and mountain rescue teams. In this challenging season of snow and storms, the team visits Grace Noble and her Highland cattle in Aberdeenshire, root farmer Guy Poskitt in Yorkshire and Gareth Wynn Jones and his sheep in Snowdonia. Margherita also chats to members of Duddon & Furness Mountain Rescue Team about the increase in incidents during lockdown.
