With the seeds and berries of winter gone and the majority of insects yet to emerge, food can be hard to come by for birds in early spring. To help them through this challenging season, the National Trust is encouraging everyone to open up a bird café in their gardens or outdoor spaces. But what type of café is best for your plot?

The conservation charity sells a range of bird feeders, from terracotta wallmounted ones to upcycled eco-friendly options, as well as a number of types of food.
