PARK PROTECTOR AWARDS 2021
Campaign for National Parks has teamed with Ramblers Holidays Charitable Trust to launch the Park Protector Awards 2021, recognising the efforts of staff and volunteers working in national parks in England and Wales. This year’s theme is ‘Innovation and Agility in the Face of a Global Pandemic’, with a £1,000 first prize, two £500 runners-up prizes and a public vote for ‘Volunteer of the Year’.
“Most national parks saw a huge rise in visitor numbers in 2020,” says Campaign for National Parks chief executive Anita Konrad. “We know it’s not been easy on the ground. National parks have limited resources but there has been some incredibly innovative action and we want to recognise and celebrate those efforts.”
Nominations are now open and will close at the end of February, with winners announced in March. cnp.org.uk/Park-Protector-Award
