EDGARD & COOPER

Food you can feel good about!

-

Edgard & Cooper does pet food differently. They’re on a mission to help you, your pets and our planet to feel good! The founders Louis and Koen set up the company after they became frustrated at the lack of tasty healthy options available for their dogs – named Edgard (A French Bulldog) and Cooper (A Cocker Spaniel). Their aim was to create a product that was packed with high quality and easy to recognise ingredients while treading as lightly on the planet as possible.

Edgard & Cooper know that quality ingredients matter. They make their recipes using lots of fresh meat (no meat meal, no nasties) and natural, tasty extras like fruit & veg. They were told that using fresh meat inside kibble could not be done, but they partnered with a university for support. Two and a half years later, they finally found the right combination of ingredients and partners...And so Edgard & Cooper was born!

Edgard & Cooper have since led the way in being the first brand to offer a full range of products packaged in biodegradable materials (or endlessly recyclable metal), including their new plant-based wellness product “Doggy Dental”. Their commitment to packing their products as sustainably as possible, has saved over 6 million plastic bags to date across Europe and a commitment to 100% closedloop packaging forms one of the key pillars of their Zero Pawprint Plan.

From Day 1, they have gone beyond just good quality food, they also give 1% of sales to the Edgard & Cooper Foundation which supports animal welfare charities, to help the dogs and cats they can’t reach with their products. So far, they’ve donated over €162,000 to both their first project, the Dog Care Clinic in Sri Lanka and most recently Mayhew International, to support combatting rabies in the stray dog population in Afghanistan.

Due to popular demand the brand now offers a range of cat food, dog treats and more recently plant-based dog dental sticks. You can find Edgard & Cooper online on their website www.edgardcooper.com as well as in many independent and specialist pet food chains across the UK such as Pets at Home and Fetch. They are also available in Sainsbury’s as well as other online supermarkets such as Waitrose Pet, Ocado and Abel & Cole.
