LAKE VYRNWY LEGEND
I watched a Countryfile programme about Lake Vyrnwy, Wales, recently and I think it might have shown a picture of my great-great-greatgrandfather John Evans, who was known locally as Siôn Fawr, which means Big John. He was much sought after to shoe cattle (just their front hooves) so they could be driven to market in London.
