New plea over vandal attack

NEW images have been released of men police would like to speak to after dozens of gnomes were destroyed at a tourist attraction.

More than 100 gnomes were smashed up by yobs at the Echills Wood Railway gnome village at Kingsbury Water Park.

The second attack in just over six months happened at around 8pm on Thursday, April 6.

A number of photos were released by police last week as part of an investigation into the criminal dam- age. Officers are renewing their appeal for information to the incident.

In the first attack at the North Warwickshire attraction in September more than 40 gnomes were beheaded or smashed, railway signs were bent, the track had been interfered with, and the head of the lone model croco- dile at the railway’s Crocodile Creek had been broken.

The community rallied round and donated new gnomes to replace the old ones but after this second strike the volunteers who run the railway have said it won’t be possible to restore the attraction to its former glory.

If anyone recognises the men in the photos or has any information that could help police with their enquiries they can call 101 and quote incident 103 of 7 April 2017.

Alternatively, information can be provided anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via www.crimestoppers-uk.org
