NEWLYWEDS APPEAL AFTER LOSING SD CARD CONTAINING THEIR PHOTOS

JOY soon turned to misery for Nuneaton newlyweds after all of their wedding photos went missing.

After tying the knot on April 24, the happy couple have now been left with no physical proof of the best day of their lives.

Vincent and Janis Oakes from Clarkson Close this week lost the SD card that had all the photos from their big day.

The images taken from their ceremony, in The Library at the Cheylesmore Manor, which were stored on the card were lost in Nuneaton town centre on Tuesday.

Now all they have are snapshots of a Skype call made to Vincent’s parents in Spain – so they are desperate to be reunited with their actual photographs.

Janis said: “All of our wedding photos were put onto an SD card and given to us and a couple of days ago I put it in my purse for safe keeping.

“It was yesterday (Tuesday, May 23) when I realised it was gone. I remember my husband and I were walking through town on my lunch, we went to the Royal Bank of Scotland cashpoint, then to Toppers, and then walked to the park, where we sat on one of the benches.

“During this walk we remember finding my purse open and upside down, we think it was while walking between the EE store and and Toppers, but can’t be 100 per cent sure.

“These are literally the only photos we have of our special day, I cannot even describe how devastated we are, but we are desperately still hoping they will be found. We can only hope someone found it and has them safe.”

The couple have posted on social media sites appealing to anyone who may have found the card and also retraced their steps in town, as well as visiting stores, in a bid to find it.

Now they are looking for help from residents in the hope that one of its readers may have spotted or stumbled upon the card, the Nuneaton News reports.

“I’m not even sure it’s actually sunk in that we may never see our wedding photos,” Mrs Oakes said.

Anyone who can help or has seen the card should either call 024 7635 35 34 or email editorial@ nuneaton-news.co.uk
