A VICIOUS thug stabbed another man nine times in a frenzied attack over an alleged unpaid drug debt of just £25.

Dylan Kalubi was jailed for more than 15 years for the ferocious attack at a flat in Spon End, Coventry, on July 26 last year.

The 22-year-old went to the flat and confronted a man over the alleged unpaid drug debt, and following a short verbal altercation Kalubi produced a knife from his pocket and stabbed the victim nine times.

Kalubi, of Windsor Street, Spon End, pleaded guilty to wounding with intent on the first day of his trial at Warwick Crown Court earlier this year.

He was sentenced at Wolverhampton Crown Court last Friday for 15-and-a-half years.

Speaking afterwards, a spokesman for Coventry Police said: “We launched an investigation and found CCTV showing Kalubi entering the block of flats wearing a distinctive hooded McKenzie top, which was later recovered in a rubbish shute, with both Kalubi’s and the man’s blood on.

“It was later discovered that just two months earlier, Kalubi had been involved in another violent outburst that saw him repeatedly kick a man in the head as he lay unconscious on the floor.

“Kalubi knocked his victim out cold with a mop handle as trouble flared between two groups at So Club Room in Coventry in the early hours of Sunday May 29 last year.

“And as he lay defenceless on the floor, Kalubi continued to punch and kick the man in the head while swinging his belt around and threatening other clubbers.”

Kalubi also pleaded guilty to affray for the So Club Room incident and was sentenced to six months to be served concurrently.
