AN elegant offering with a swirl of raspberry pieces across the front. It’s both smooth and sweet and has a slighly bitter aftertaste, as dark chocolate should. Made with 70% cocoa, it’s delightful in small doses.

Artisan Easter Egg with Belgian Chocolates, Guylian, £4

MEDIOCRE-tasting milk chocolate egg – which is a little on the small side. The accompanying mini box of delicious Sea Shell chocolates, are actually the highlight of this offering.

Nestle Kit Kat Bites, £4

BIT on the stingey side with a small milk chocolate egg and a bag of Kit Kat Bites. The shell would have been much better with some bits of wafer in it to give it a little more texture. You don’t get much for your money.

Delectable Duo Milk and White Chocolate Raspberry, £4.99, Aldi

A SILKY smooth white chocolate and raspberry half and a separate milk chocolate shell makes for the best of both worlds with this marble effect egg. Very nicely packaged too. Good value for money.

Cadbury Creme Egg Medium Easter Egg And Mug, £4

GREAT value for money as it comes with a creamytasting chocolate egg, a packet of mini Creme Eggs and a matching mug. If it’s not a tradition to eat at least one Cadbury’s egg at Easter then it certainly should be.
