POLICE APPEAL TO ANYONE WITH DASH CAM FOOTAGE

- By CLAIRE HARRISON Nuneaton Reporter news@coventrytelegraph.net

A WOMAN was hospitalised in a "nasty" road rage attack on the A444 from Coventry to Nuneaton.

The victim, who has not been identified but is aged in her 20s, was driving along A444 towards Nuneaton when her car came into collision with a grey Nissan Micra. As she got out her car to exchange insurance details, the male driver of the other vehicle assaulted her causing injuries to her hip and head.

The attacker drove off from the scene, leaving his victim needing hospital treatment for her injuries.

Despite the incident taking place on April 9, police have only now come forward with an appeal for witnesses. They particularly want to hear from any drivers who may have dash-cam footage of the attack.

PC Steve Jones said: "This was a nasty assault on a busy road. There will have been a lot of other people in the area at the time and we're appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or the assault to contact us. We'd also like to speak to anyone with dash-cam footage of the incident."

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information should call police 101 and quote incident 180 of April 9.

Details can also be passed on to officers via the Crimestoppers hotline, which is free to call from a landline and confidential, on 0800 555 111 or via its page online.
