A VIP stay in Las Vegas, a gourmet dinner party for ten and lunch at Gordon Ramsey restaurant are just some of the prizes up for grabs in an auction for Zoe’s Place Baby Hospice.

Guests at this year’s Kings and Queens-themed Zoe’s Place Ball have the chance to bid a right royal haul of donated prizes at Coventry’s Coombe Abbey.

The event, which takes place on Friday will include live music from Coventry band The Kicks as well as a banquet served up to its 400 guests.

Every penny raised from both the auction and silent auction will be donated to the Coventry baby hospice.

And with such a selection of prizes, organisers believe this third ball will raise a record-breaking amount of money to help with the charity’s annual running costs of £1.4 million per year.

“The exciting selection of main and silent auction prizes will without doubt make this year’s ball one to remember,” said Peter Jarvis, managing director of Warwick-based Contechs and chairman of the Zoë’s Place Business Group.

“Every year, this proves to be the highlight of the evening and helps us raise an extraordinary amount of money for Zoe’s Place – which relies on donations from the public to continue its vital work in Coventry and Warwickshire.”

Among the impressive haul is a five-star luxury stay at The Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas. The four-night stay for two also includes a thrilling helicopter ride over the strip as well as VIP access to some of the hottest clubs and the coolest pool parties. Flights and transfers are not included. A fabulous gourmet dining experience in your own home is also up for grabs. An executive chef will take over your kitchen with all the ingredients needed to create sumptuous seven-course tasting menu, from canapés to dessert, for a party of ten. The chefs will even do the washing up. This prize can take place anywhere in England – from Sunday to Thursday. Maybe you are looking to celebrate a special occasion in spectacular style? If so, the perfect prize in the silent auction is a luxury yacht charter. One lucky winner can enjoy a fantastic weekend on the water, relaxing and enjoying the delightful scenes of the Solent. There’s also an incredible opportunity for someone to peek behind the scenes of McLaren’s state-of-the-art facilities in Woking and meet some of the people who design and build these iconic cars.

Other prizes include a signed photograph of Sir Roger Bannister – the firstever ‘four minute miler,’ a glove signed by England’s World Heavyweight Boxing Champion Anthony Joshua and a lunch for four at Gordon Ramsay’s Petrus restaurant.

Mr Jarvis added: “We have an incredible selection of prizes, with something to suit every individual’s taste. This year’s ball promises to be a fantastic fundraising event and we are delighted that so many people have once again decided to join us to help raise much-needed funds. A big thank you also to our sponsors including Triton.

“Zoe’s Place is an incredible facility which provides a haven for children facing some very challenging situations and a much-needed respite for their families.

“This ball gives everyone an opportunity to learn more about this invaluable charity, raise money for its continued service and also have a lot of fun at the same time – maybe even experience one of the most memorable events of their lives, thanks to our auction prizes.”

Every year this proves to be the highlight of the evening and helps us raise an extraordinary amount of money for Zoe’s Place. Peter Jarvis
