Thieves raid ParcelForc­e van

THIEVES raided a delivery van while the driver was working in Coventry.

The ParcelForc­e driver was working in Gerard Avenue, Canley, when the theft happened at around 5.30pm on Tuesday, December 11.

Three people are believed to have gained access to the van and made off with a number of parcels.

It is understood that some of the parcels were found dumped nearby the following day.

Officers are investigat­ing and anyone with informatio­n is asked to contact West Midlands Police via its Live Chat between 8am and midnight or call 101 anytime, quoting crime reference 20CV/288913E/18.

ParcelForc­e has been contacted by the Telegraph for a comment.

The news comes on the back of another delivery driver was left with life-threatenin­g injuries when robbers stole his white Transit-style van.

That incident happened in the Stoke area of the city and saw the driver cling to the windscreen of the van before being thrown off.

It was revealed earlier this week that while the victim remains in hospital has woken from a coma and has been able to hold his wife’s hand.
