A TEAM at the Mediterranean Neurological Institute spent six years studying 21,000 Italians with regular moderate alcohol intake who also ate a Mediterranean diet. Those who drank a small glass of wine (125ml) a day had a lower chance of needing medical treatment compared with heavier boozers or those that abstain.
