Now city wa­ter park is look­ing for new staff

FANCY your chances of work­ing at Coven­try’s new multi-mil­lion pound wa­ter park?

You’re in luck as there are a num­ber of open­ings at the city’s brand new wa­ter park.

The Wave will be open­ing in just a few months time, so is look­ing for peo­ple to fill some of the roles.

From life­guards, spa ther­a­pists and fit­ness in­struc­tors to , there is some­thing for ev­ery­one.

Coven­try Sports Foun­da­tion is be­hind the new wa­ter park that has been un­der con­struc­tion since 2017.

The £36m wa­ter park, on New Union Street , is set to open in spring 2019.

Nine slides in to­tal will be built, in­clud­ing the Nav­i­ga­tor - a waterpark ver­sion of a roller coaster which has both up­hill and down­hill drops in a tube - and the Speed Slide, which has a thrilling drop of 20 me­tres.

Each ride will be com­ple­mented by light and sound fea­tures for an im­mer­sive ride ex­pe­ri­ence.

So, what jobs are up for grabs?

A range of roles are avail­able in­clud­ing Duty Man­agers, Su­per­vi­sors, Life­guards, Clean­ers, Fit­ness In­struc­tors, Group Ex­er­cise In­struc­tors, Spa Ther­a­pists, Main­te­nance As­sis­tants, Re­cep­tion­ists and Modern Ap­pren­tices.

There will be train­ing pro­grammes for those who need it.

Suc­cess­ful ap­pli­cants will have the op­tion to com­plete a life­guard or fit­ness in­struc­tor qual­i­fi­ca­tion in their fifth week.
