Celebratin­g outstandin­g exam results

PRESIDENT Kennedy School students are celebratin­g excellent A-level and GCSE results, showing a record number of A* and A grades.

Twenty per cent of students achieved A* A and 100 per cent are placed at universiti­es of their choice.

Here are some highlights:20 per cent are going to Russell Group universiti­es.

52 per cent are going to a top 50 university destinatio­n.

100 per cent of students who applied to higher education have been offered a place.

Molly Wilson gained Grade 9 in eight GCSE subjects and an A* in further maths, Amelia Bassnett achieved an A* in further maths, six 9s and two 8s and Amber Nazir secured four 9s and four 8s.

This talented cohort of young people have made brilliant progress and these results provide an excellent start to sixth form studies, employment and brighter futures.

HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL

The students of President Kennedy School took to the stage at the Albany Theatre to perform the Disney hit High School Musical.

The production was full of high impact energy, fast choreograp­hy and outstandin­g vocals. The whole cast filled the stage with enjoyment and the audience were blown away by the youngsters’ talent. The students yet again, received a standing ovation!

Back stage the atmosphere was electric and students showed profession­alism and support for one another.

SPORTING SUCCESS

THE Year 7 football team completed an historic double, winning the inaugural U12 West Midlands Cup, adding to the Coventry Cup they had already won.

The Year 7 rugby team won the Coventry Schools Rugby Trophy and both Year 7 and Year 8 netball teams are now 2019 league winners.

PERU VISIT

PRESIDENT Kennedy students set out on a visit to the local community in Moray in Peru through CAMPS Internatio­nal.

They had to raise £4,540 each for this trip through fundraisin­g which will be used in local community projects.

CAMPS Internatio­nal aims to work with the community for the next 3-5years through schools to regenerate this community and many others.
