FANS GO WILD FOR CALLUM

-

“DIFFERENT gravy” – that was the verdict of one Coventry City fan on wonderkid Callum O’Hare after his impressive first League One start for the Sky Blues on Tuesday night.

O’Hare put on a good show as City stayed top of the table with a come-from-behind victory over struggling AFC Wimbledon, the Aston Villa loanee looking lively throughout and linking up well with the forwards.

Having previously stepped off the bench four times and scored twice it was a start that was clearly earned after joining the club on a season-long loan from Villa Park. He shone and could have got on the scoresheet but for a decent low save by the keeper before the break.

Robins spoke after the game on Tuesday of how O’Hare injected energy into the side, and the fans agreed on social media, hailing the 21-year-old as “outstanding”, with one suggesting he could be better than another former City favourite, James Maddison!

One fan, Alex, said: “I love this team! Never ever knows when it’s beaten and Callum O’Hare is one of the finest players I have seen in a City shirt, never seen a player run as much as him (Villa have a top player on their hands).”

Ben Webbo agreed: “Callum O’Hare... what a player! MOM by a mile!”

While Sky Blue Vision offered: “Deserved the start, you’ve been outstanding this season and long may it continue.”

Jimi said: “Different gravy” while Scott Rose added: “Best player I’ve seen in a City shirt since James Maddison with probably more skill and more pace. Big future ahead.”

His performance made waves across the Atlantic for CS Lennox who said: “Nice one Callum. You had me jumping up and down in my office in LA.”

While Susie Dunn concluded: “Breath of fresh air he is!”
