A BRAND new festival is coming to Warwickshire - and it’s set to blend music, food and drink with a tranquil woodland location.

Bigfoot is taking place in the grounds of Ragley Hall from June 19 to 21.

Organisers say visitors can expect pioneering chefs, top restaurants and street food cult favourites from the UK and beyond, as well as more than 60 music acts across five stages.

There will also be a hand-picked line-up of more than 50 craft breweries, natural winemakers and artisanal spirit producers.

The Bigfoot Main Stage will see performances from Fat White Family, Little Dragon and Hot Chip Megamix.

For revellers who aren’t quite ready for bed, the Treehouse Dance Stage will be keeping the beats going late into the night with a lineup of DJs including George Fitzgerald and Erol Alkan.

When it comes to food, there’ll be a banqueting tent headlined by zero-waste innovator Douglas McMaster, of Silo and Matt Orlando, of Copenhagen’s Amass.

Together with Chase Lovecky of Two Lights, they will host Blackout Dining, a sustainable vegetarian feast cooked using no electricity at all.

Guests will dine at candlelit tables stretching along the banks of the lake.

Ragley Hall is just outside of Alcester and eight miles from Stratford-on-Avon. It’s a country manor with lots of woodlands and a tranquil lake.

That means that, alongside the music and food, organisers can also offer a Lakeside cinema showing classic movies and cult favourites, plus visitors will be able to boat and swim in the lake.

There’s also events and activities for kids and families, including kids’ raves, forest foraging and mini yoga.

Bigfoot tickets are on sale now and cost £120, with early bird tickets from £80. Boutique camping is available from £280. Entry is free for children aged 13 and under.

Greg Wellls, founder of the festival along with Daniel Sylvester, said: “Bigfoot is our ideal version of a modern lifestyle festival. We’ve designed this from the ground up to showcase the incredibly dynamic culture around craft beer, cuttingedge food and great music. Ragley Hall is an incredible backdrop for this, the perfect venue for us to launch this celebration.”

Daniel added: “The time is right for something new in the festival world, there’s been a revolution in Britain’s appreciation and love of food and drink and Bigfoot will be somewhere that festival-goers can discover fantastic beer and wine, eat incredible, world-class food, and really let their hair down to the sound of some of the most exciting acts of the moment.”
