Man charged with murder over petrol station stabbing
POLICE have charged a man with the murder of Pavandeep Daudher in Coventry.
Pavandeep, 19, died after being found seriously injured at the BP garage in Lockhurst Lane, Foleshill, at about 11pm on Tuesday (March 31).
A post-mortem examination revealed he died from a stab wound to his left thigh.
This morning police have charged Ethan Lilley, 22, of Queen Isabels Avenue, Cheylesmore, with murder.
He has been remanded in custody to appear before city magistrates today.
A second man, aged 33, arrested on suspicion of murder on Friday has been released on conditional bail pending further enquiries.
Three other people - a 46-year-old woman and a man and a woman both aged 18 detained on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released pending further investigations.
Detective Inspector Stuart Mobberley, from West Midlands Police CID, said: “Our thoughts remain with Pavandeep’s family and we have specialist officers supporting them during this deeply distressing time.
“We have been following a number of lines of enquiry and I would still urge anyone with information, and who has not spoken to us already, to get in touch as soon as possible.”
